Miyeok, also known as wakame, is commonly used in preparation of traditional Korean soups and banchan. It is rich in iron and calcium, and often thought to lower cholesterol. This seaweed is best known for the dish, Miyeokguk, a soup that served and eaten on ones birthday.
We recommend soaking 3-4g of seaweed in water until it softens (1 serving). Strain the water and add to your soup or banchan recipes.
