At birth, '福' is embroidered on the newborn’s pillows and blankets, wishing for a blessed future for the baby. In addition, garments and accessories were often made with patterns that represent '福'.
When preparing meals, people washed rice with Bokjori, and engraved '福' on rice bowls and spoons to reflect blessings at every meal.
