Other Side

In Other Side series, Youjung Choi explores the expressive possibilities of color and texture through layered glass. Inspired by the colors of a forest landscape, the vase combines an inner layer of colored glass with an opaque white exterior.

Through a meticulous process of cold working, Choi carves lines of varying widths and depths into the surface, gradually revealing the colors concealed beneath. The interplay between the soft white exterior and the emerging colors creates a richly textured surface that shifts with light and perspective.
