Bangjja yugi is a traditional Korean bronzeware made from 78% copper and 22% tin. Heated and hammered repeatedly by hand, each piece develops its distinctive strength, weight, and resonance. Long used for tableware and ceremonial objects—including in Korea’s royal courts—yugi is prized for its durability and warm, evolving patina.

The high copper content of the alloy also gives bangjja yugi naturally antimicrobial properties.

Please note: Each stackable candleholder is hand-forged and varies in texture and finish—ranging from rough to matte to polished. Finishes cannot be selected and will be shipped at random.

Important Safety Notes for Jiho Lee’s Candleholders

• Never leave a burning candle unattended.

• When a candle has been lit for an extended period, the bronze can become hot.
  Do not touch, move, or handle the piece while the candle is burning or while the metal is still warm.

• Always allow the candleholder to cool completely before handling or adjusting it.
